Meditation with Autonomy-Uncovered

Meditation with Autonomy-Uncovered

I wish I had done this years ago. Not a common statement from me but one that applies to my journey into meditation. I’m just coming to the end of an 8-week one-to-one course with Jennie Scrace from Autonomy Uncovered.

My mind has always been very active. My personality type is a planner and I constantly revise plans and contingency plans. Throughout my life, I have developed the normal negative voices we all have. They sit on my shoulder and whisper to me. I have the imposter that tells me that I am not capable of achieving success and that people will find out. Then there is the perfectionist that wants to over-engineer and polish everything, however long that would take. Meditation is a way to reduce the effects of these behaviours and provide some space to grow.

Through meditation, I am learning to be kinder to myself. To quieten the voices and conversations in my head. Leaving space for me to connect with my body and feel how I truly am. To energize and protect myself rather than undertake my traditional run towards exhaustion approach. This is giving more energy, more focus and hopefully a more sustainable delivery.
Working with Jennie has been a great experience and started my journey in meditation. I would recommend talking to Autonomy Uncovered for a one-to-one course in person in Brighton, UK or over zoom.
