Video Turntable Mark 1

Video Turntable Mark 1

Do you think static camera shots are boring? The brilliant James Bruton started a YouTube video with exactly that question and it got me thinking. His response was to build a robotic camera system on wheels for moving talking head shots.

My answer to this question is a little different as most of my shots are not talking heads. Lets be honest you didn’t come here to see me talk. You want to see the project. So I wanted to movement to be around my project, components and boards. That led me to a video turntable.

The schematic, PCB design, 3D models and source code can all be found in the GitHub Repo for this project. https://github.com/jondurrant/RPIPicoVideoTurntableMk1
To clone use the command:

$ github clone https://github.com/jondurrant/RPIPicoVideoTurntableMk1

If you want to learn more about the techniques, I use in the video take a look at my @DrJonEA videos and courses.

Thanks

My Thanks to PCBWay for sponsoring this video and supplying the PCB board. PCBWay provides PCB prototyping, assembly, 3D printing, CNC, sheet metal fabrication and injection moulding.
