It is quite confusing if we should describe the Raspberry Pi Pico as having a Real Time Clock or not. The RP2040 certainly can maintain time in human calendar format. I explain why and how to add an external Real Time Clock, the DS3231 in this video.
I add a DS3231 module to a Badger2040 to build an analogue clock and temperature display.
