I recently made a Video on the Badger2040 from PIMORONI. I wanted to return to products and look at its brother the Badger2040W. This brings Wifi and Bluetooth to the E-Ink display by embedding a Pico-W.
The E-Ink display is the same as on the Badger2040 and the Wifi capability is the same as any other Pico-W. I’ve done lots of videos and course content on the Pico-W capabilities.
Power management on this device for low-power battery usage is an interesting part for me. They have chosen to implement this outside of the Pico-W and have a separate RTC. In this video I do a deep dive into the design. Seems to me some interesting patterns for other Pico-W projects.
Let me know what you think.
