November 2025: Getting Cozy with Pico and Projects

Welcome back to the latest updates from my world of embedded systems, maker culture, and remix-friendly innovation. Here’s what’s been happening across projects, tools, and some community events.

🔧 News & Community

Pico VSCode Extension Updates

Exciting developments for embedded firmware: you can now build with Rust or Zephyr directly in VSCode for the Raspberry Pi Pico. Read the full announcement.

I’ve done a little work with Rust on the P ico 2 and shared that on my YouTube channel. I’ve also talked to the great Jonathan Pallant, guru of all things embedded Rust on the channel. Go check them out.

Pico is Community

I’m delighted to have supported two community meetups this month. Firstly Potten PI and Pints run by the CamJam team. Run around the Cambridgeshire area of the UK. It was great to meet some of the Cambridge Hack Space team and others to talk about all our projects.

Secondly Breaking Breadboards Brighton UK event. A community group I helped to create and run. Brilliant community of builders and developers. Always so much fun to hear about the projects.

🛠️ New Tool Spotlight

New section to chat about what tools I’m investing in.
