Video Turntable Mk2: Raspberry Pi Pico, MicrROS, ROS2 and FreeRTOS

Video Turntable Mk2: Raspberry Pi Pico, MicrROS, ROS2 and FreeRTOS

This video extends my Video Turntable project by making this a ROS2 Robot.

Video

The source code for this project is on GitHub.

The video turntable is driven by a 28BYJ-38 stepper motor. See previous video: . It uses an A3144 Hall Sensor to detect position. I’ve integrated MicroROS with FreeRTOS on the Pico and my approach to this is discussed in videos. For more on the FreeRTOS kernel on the Pico check out my Udemy course: FreeRTOS on Raspberry PI PICO

For more on using switches and rotary encoders with the Pico check out my Udemy course: Raspberry PI PICO Micro Projects (C++) .

The video’s sound quality is not quite as good as I would like. The tone changes as I switch between setups. A few issues with some new equipment. Hopefully, it does not detract from the content.
