My goto option for sensing temperature from the Raspberry Pi Pico (or RP2040) board is to use a DS18B20. A couple of display boards I am working with at the moment make that impossible. I’ve had to look at other options and I thought I would share my research in this video.
The options I look at are:

- DS3231
- RTC AHT10

No BMP or BME devices? The BME-280 and BME-680 are my go-to devices for environmental sensors.
